The Band: Georgina "Grog" Prebble

Last update: 27th June 2004

Name: Georgina "Grog" Prebble
Band role: Bass guitar/backing vocals
Time in the band: 2003
Other work:
1993-1995: Lead vocals for Flinch
1996-1998: Bass guitar/lead vocals for Feline
1999-2000: Bass guitar/lead vocals for Ultraviolet
2001-2003: Bass guitar/lead vocals for Die So Fluid
2003-2004: Bass guitar/piano for Kelly Osbourne

Grog, as she prefers to be known, was the fourth bass guitarist to work with Melanie, thus continuing the tradition of there being a new person filling this position for (almost) every new tour...
As well as filling the shoes of Kim, Beth and Midus, Grog is also one-third of Die So Fluid (www.diesofluid.com), a London-based rock band which evolved from Ultraviolet, which evolved from Feline, which... you guessed it, evolved from Flinch ;-)
Following the Reason 2003 tour, Grog left the band to go work with Kelly Osbourne (yes, that Kelly Osbourne... oh dear ). Although she was only in the band for a short time, she made a BIG impression on a lot of Melanie's fans, and I feel quite confident in saying that she'll be sorely missed (I know I'll miss her, for one!)

Despite appearances, if you get the chance to meet her face to face, you quickly realise she's a lovely person - during her time in the group, the title of "nicest band member" definitely belonged to Grog...

...as does the title of "best legs in the music industry", apparently ;-)
