The Wars of The Roses...
The "Mel B puking" story...
She'd been drinking port, right, hadn't done anything, she was drinking port. And err, so, we had this
fight and anyway she started puking up (Errrrrrrrgghh Mellll!!! It was blood!). And she had, like, this
white thingy on and she was going "look what you've done to me!" (It was BLOOD!)
The "accidents will happen" story...
On, I think two occasions, me and Mel have had a little bit too much to drink and it's ended up in a bit
of a punch up, d'you know what I mean. But it's, I mean, the next day we just laugh about it. We square
up to each other, like, giving it loads, you know, like tough Northerners do. And er, just trying to prove
ourselves - War of The Roses innit, Yorkshire-Lancashire you see. So erm, but Geri always gets in the middle
and goes "NO, STOP!", like that, and then she usually gets hit in the face... I've hit Geri before, but I
was aiming for Mel.
...and in slightly different words
Well, I mean, we have done in the past, but it's usually because we've had too many of them... (Is it full
screaming or is it just one catty remark?) Well, it's like, erm, I mean, we're not like catty catty, d'you
know what I mean, it's just usually stupid and then afterwards we can't remember what it was about. But me
and Mel B have had a couple of scraps like, when we've been a bit drunk, 'cause we're both Northerners you
see, we've got that thing, you know the pride, you know (I know, a couple of drinks and, yup. What, do you
know remember the argument was?) I mean, we just square up and, d'you know what? I can't. There was a couple
of times when it nearly come to blows, but the only person who gets hit is Geri, 'cause she's always in the
middle trying to sort it out (she's standing in the middle? You can't remember what it was about?) No (Do
you think Mel might remember?) It was a long time ago now... she might...no, she won't, 'cause she was more
drunk than me.
On the Spice film...
What's it about then?
What is it all about? Well, basically, it's about the Spice Girls. But errm, it's a bit of, well Geri
says this word but I don't really know what it means but it sounds good, it's a parody of us. Which in
terms as I understand a bit more is, it's a mickey-take, so we're taking the mickey out of ourselves. But
emm, a lot of the situations that come up in the film actually have happened, (right), d'you know what I
mean. But obviously we've elaborated on it and made things a bit more exciting and stuff.
The ups and downs of filming
About a week into the film, because there's so much waiting around, and 'cause we done a lot of shooting
outside, like, because of the weather conditions we had to like just wait for the rain to stop, wait for this,
wait for that, wait for the sun, wait for the clouds, wait for the clouds to go. And it was like "oh God, I
really don't want to do this any more, give me, you know, get me back into a recording studio". But then, once
we'd done it and got into it it was absolutely brilliant, really good fun.
