The curse/tradition of the bass player continued... another tour ended and another bassist left the group. So as we waved a sad goodbye to Grog and wished her well, it was time to give a big Melanie C Fan Community welcome to Jenni Tarma, the fifth bass guitar player to work with Melanie since going solo, joining the band in time for the post-Reason touring season. Falling victim to the curse herself, Jenni has now been replaced by Kim Khahn (who, along with Arden, makes a re-appearance in Melanie's band for 2005) for the Beautiful Intentions promo tour.
Readers with too much time on their hands might like to consider this - Melanie's first bass player was foreign (Midus, from Portugal), her second (Beth) was British, her third (Kim, Australian) was foreign, and her fourth (Grog) was British. So what comes next in this sequence... yep, you got it, another foreigner. And that's exactly what we've got in Jenni, as she hails from Finland ;-)
