I don't mind at all if you want to use these images on your own site. Feel free to take
copies of as many of them as you want, you don't need to ask me first. The only things
I would like you to do are let your visitors know where the images have come from, and
mail me to tell me about your site, so I can drop by for a visit myself...
But PLEASE note the use of the "take copies" comment in the above paragraph. If
you try to link directly to the images on my server, you'll just get a whole bunch of
errors when you come to look at your own pages. And this behaviour is intentional...
Because there are only two ways to run a large website like this - you can either pay for
your own webspace and bandwidth allocation, or you can steal someone elses... I pay a
reasonable amount of money each month to keep this site online, and it got more than a
little bit annoying when I used to see other sites eating into my bandwidth allocation by
linking directly to files on my server. No more. A change to the server configuration
now prevents any other site from retrieving images directly from here. So, if you want
to use the files, you'll have to copy them to your own server.
