Well, after the fairly decent Gatherings: Special Edition that was the Star Wars outing, it seemed only logical to contine the series with an Empire Strikes Back G:SE. So, 8pm on Tuesday 15th, and we begin arriving at the collection point, otherwise known as the Queens ...... (Arms/Head, we can`t remember :-). Or to be more precise, three of us arrived. Mel, me, then Keith. Leaving just Ian unaccounted for. This would not normally be cause for concern, except that we knew Ian had the tickets... Much finger twiddling and anxious glances at the time followed, before he eventually appeared, somewhat later than we`d have liked, but as the old saying goes, "a rolling stone gathers no moss". Well, I never said the old saying was relevant, did I? And so, with the assembled masses eagerly chomping at the bit (or was that just Keith chomping on his beef sandwich?), we tumbled down the hill towards the cinema, arriving just in time to miss the crap adverts, grab some not-particularly-brilliant seats, and settle back for 2 and a bit hours of film. What more can I say? Plenty, actually, but I`ve sworn a vow of silence. Or to be more precise, Mel and co. swore it for me, and I just agreed on pain of death :-) So you`ll just have to take it from me that if you missed out on the pre-film micro-Gathering, you missed out on about 45 minutes of serious fun. What a shame... Next up, Return of The Jedi - 29th April, Clear your diaries! Chris
