Welcome to my home from home
This little corner of the web I call my own
Indeed, welcome. The builders have finished, although they still pop back in from time to
make a few alterations, or build an extension here and there, or in some rare cases
do a bit of demolition work. So, what is there to do now that you're here? Well, there's
the obligatory bit about me, which you can read just before bed in order to make yourself
nice and sleepy. There's stuff about PC flight sims and Amigas - if you're a Mathscript user, or an
owner of an Agfa, Olympus, Epson or Sanyo digital camera, you might want to take a look at the utilities
I've written...
Moving from simulated flight to real flight, there's also a short review of the 1997 Royal International
Air Tattoo, and even shorter ones of the 1998 and 1999 shows (but with far more photos :-), which is
probably the finest military airshow in the world.
Included for historical purposes is the final version of the Newcastle Gatherings homepage, which
was used to record and publicise the goings-on at the Babylon 5 get-togethers I used to organise
when I lived in Newcastle. Since I'm now living at the other end of the country, I'd find it
slightly tricky to continue arranging them, and so the site has quite simply stopped... But
rather than remove it from the web, I've decided to keep it in place just in case someone is
interested...
Which just leaves the main area of the site, and since it's traditional to save the best till last,
that's exactly what I've done here. Consuming more server space than the rest of the site
put together, and responsible for roughly 99.99999% of all the visitors, the bulk of the site is
taken up with something called 100% Melanie C. Which, surprise surprise, is all about my fave Spice
Girl, Geri...
...or perhaps not.
So, what are you waiting for? Or do you just like hanging around in hallways? Come on, come on, get moving, there's others trying to get in past you...

Babblings, the Newcastle way :-)
Website moans and groans...
This site contains many image galleries, and so to fully appreciate the site experience you will
need some form of graphical browser, ideally with a 256 colour (or more) display, and DEFINITELY
with Progressive JPEG support.
However, navigating through the site does NOT require the use of images - if an image is being
used for navigation purposes, it has a suitable ALT definition. If it isn't being used for
navigation, it'll still have a suitable ALT definition...
If all you want to do is access the text based parts of the site, then you can do so quite easily
with any browser, regardless of its display abilities.
Pages are all standard HTML4, with some JavaScript here and there. With the exception of some
interactive pages that are reliant on JavaScript, all pages will display on any browser - the precise
look and feel of the page determined by the level of HTML that the browser supports. And those pages
that require JavaScript support do not contain any vital information, so using a browser that cannot
access those pages is no great loss.
My aim is to make the information on this site visible to as many people as possible, and to ensure
this the important parts of the site will never "require Browser X" in order to be accessible.
