Although it's just a single sentence taken from the Express sports pages, I think it
sums up perfectly well just how poor some people's image of Melanie is... From a piece
by sports writer Martin Samuel, about his pick of the footballers who he thinks would
prefer to forget the recently finished season, comes this:
"JASON McATEER: World Cup hopes dashed and he also broke a leg. Worse, he dated Sporty Spice and did that shampoo advert." Yup, that's it. Told you it was short. So, now we know. Dating Melanie is worse than breaking your leg. So hey, if any of you out there have your leg in plaster right now, just think how much worse your life could be, you could be spending time with Melanie. Let's not even get into the argument over whether or not they were actually dating, the fact is that Martin believes the rumour and is quite happy to use it to make a fairly obvious dig at Melanie, for no good reason. Thank you VERY much, Mr S, I don't think... |
