There are enough newspaper and magazine articles about Melanie and the rest of the Girls to keep us all in reading material from now until the end of the universe (almost...), but one thing is typically missing from these sort of things - the real fan's point of view. Oh sure, some of the journalists might be fans, but more often than not they don't let their personal enthusiasm for the Girls show in what they write.
So, what we need are the comments of the real fans. And whilst the guestbook provides an outlet for short comments, that leaves the longer, more carefully considered comments without a home. Until now :-)

Pieces about Melanie in general...

...Group concert reviews...

...solo concert reviews...

...and CD reviews.

So, now you've read what they all think, what about you!?! If you think you can do as well or better than these articles, then get writing!
Why do you like Melanie? Put it in words...
If you've met her, tell us all the juicy details!
Whatever you want to write about her, do it, then mail me the finished article. If I like what I see, your name could be up there for all the world to see :-)

Note: If you do get writing, then help make my life that little bit easier by doing the following 4 things...

  1. Stick to plain, unformatted, ASCII text. That's what it'll end up as anyway, so concentrate on the article content, not how it looks :-)
  2. Keep the line lengths down to 75 characters or less - having to reformat a 100+ line article because one or two lines are just that little bit too long is no fun...
  3. Check your spelling! If you've got a spellchecking utility, or a word processor with spellchecking, then use it. If not, then dig out the family dictionary and make sure awl yor wurds are spelt rite...
  4. Don't write the entire thing in upper case. Capital letters go at the start of sentences and at the start of names, YOU DON'T USE THEM TO WRITE ENTIRE SENTENCES, OK!
