Hello there to everyone that is reading this little article, of which I am
more than compelled to write, after reading the guestbook from last week,
around the start of November.
Before you start deciding that I am here to preach and say that my word is
god, I am not here to say that. In fact the reason that I am writing this is
quite the opposite. I am here to give out at the people who say that Melanie
HAS to be this, or she HAS to be that, without any proper evidence.
The point that I want to address it the whole 'Lesbian' thing. I will start
by saying is why do people insist on calling her a liar? We'll look at the Q
Magazine thing to give us our first example. The biggest controversy from
that whole interview was, when she said that the Spice Girls was a hobbie
for her. This was rectified numerous times in every interview that she was
in since. People have finally stopped questioning her and started to
believe that she was telling the truth. Now why is it a different story for
the whole 'Lesbian' thing. She has stated countless time that she is not gay
or anything to that effect. Why do people insist on calling her a liar?
Personally, I don't think that she is gay, simply because she denies any
claims to that effect. This is my opinion and my opinion only. People can
choose to believe what they want and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Like it or not, this should be respected. If you think that Melanie is gay,
fair enough, that's your opinion and I will respect that whoever you are,
and whatever you think. What I am driving at, is why people who think she
is gay, try do influence those people who think she is not gay? We are
constantly told that she 'Has' to be gay, followed by the comment that 'Why
can't you see this, it is plainly obvious.' The fact of the matter is, that
no-one knows what Melanie's sexuality is, be it gay or straight, except
Melanie herself. People can believe what they want, because they always do.
But opinions are not being respected here are they? No they are not. Why
this is so, is completely beyond me, but I hope that someone out there can
enlighten me. Hopefully someone will have a vague inkling as to what I am
prattling on about, and maybe, just maybe, this will not have been a
complete waste of time.
Thanks for reading.
