Most definitely not. It just means that, as with any group of people, you get drawn to some of them

No. I started this site because Melanie wasn't getting a fair deal from the media. I continue to
run it because I love her. I don't love the others, and the media manages to find enough to write
about them without my help, so I simply don't have the same desire to do a site about the others
as individuals or as a group.

It's a free world, people are quite entitled to voice their opinions about what they like
and dislike. And no matter how much we might love Melanie or the Girls, we have to realise
that not everyone shares our love. Sometimes it can be a good thing to go visit such sites,
so that we can see the view from the other side. And just remember, if you don't like the
view once you get there, you can always leave.

"How does it feel running such a well known site?"
No different to running one that no-one knows about, to be honest. It's not so well known that
I'm recognised every time I leave the house (which is no bad thing!), and since I don't know
how much email other Spice/Melanie webmasters get, or how much their sites are talked about by
Melanie fans around the world, I don't have any real impression of where this site fits into the
whole mix of sites that are out there.

That's a matter of opinion. Who's to say that person X is more attractive than person Y?
Everyone has their own views on what makes someone attractive. Do I go round telling
people "why do you bother with her when Melanie is far more attractive?" No, because
the only person who can decide how attractive someone is, is yourself. In my opinion,
Melanie is beautiful, and that's the only opinion I'm interested in :-)

For the song, Who Do You Think You Are...just. Closely followed by Baby Come Round, Viva
Forever, Move Over (and most of Spiceworld for that matter).
As for the video, it's a tie between Who Do You Think You Are (but only the version without
the Sugar Lumps) and Too Much.

If U Can't Dance has never done much for me as a song, although it is slowly sounding
better the more I listen to it (and it does sound great done live). As for the video,
Spice Up Your Life was bad, Stop was terrible, Goodbye isn't much better, but Viva Forever
is just awful. With the exception of Too Much, none of the videos they've released since
Spice Up Your Life have been any good - a trend I sincerely hope they reverse...

My favourite Spice Girl is Melanie C.
And if you didn't quite catch that, just have a think about which Spice Girl is featured
quite a lot in this site... I'm sure you can figure it out for yourselves ;-)

"What did you think of Spiceworld: The Movie?"
Short answer - I enjoyed it. A lot. Enough to see it 3 times, to buy the video when
it was released, and to buy the region 2 DVD once it was finally released...
Long answer - It was never going to win them any awards (at least, not good ones :-), but
who cares? If you like the Girls, then you're going to like the film. And if, like me,
you're an older fan, then you'll get far more out of it than their younger followers - a
LOT of the humour is aimed squarely at the teenagers & adults in the audience.
If you were expecting to see them acting their hearts out, making Emma Thompson,
Kate Winslet and co. look like amateurs, then forget it. With the possible exception of
Victoria (who finally reveals a talent for something other than standing around, doing odd
poses and wearing expensive clothes), none of them make any show of being able to act. But
then, when they're playing themselves, what does it matter... Just sit back, relax, switch
your brain off for 90 minutes, and enjoy the show.

Better than I could have imagined, and anyone who knows me knows I have a very VERY good
imagination... To put it in slightly more words I've written

If the group concerts were better than I could have imagined, the solo concerts I've attended
were so unimagineably good that I have difficulty believing they ever took place... but they
did. I was there. I have photos :-) As with the group concerts, you can
read my thoughts.

Hmm. Where's the easy questions??? I suppose, if I had to pick just one of the tracks she's
released so far, it would be Something's Gonna Happen. Not only do I love the song anyway, but
it brings back so many happy memories of the Astoria concert. But it's a difficult choice,
and there are so many other tracks that could just as easily be named here.

Oh, lots... I can't claim to like any specific type of music, although rock and pop feature
prominently. I just like specific bits of music, no matter what genre they're from. To give
you some vague idea, check out my CD collection.

"What do you think of Schizophonic?"
It took a few days to grow on me, with only 2 or 3 tracks instantly appealing. Then I went
through a stage of listening to it all at least twice a week. Now, I can't recall the last
time I played any of it. Unlike other albums, it hasn't held its interest for me. It's
certainly not a bad album, but I personally don't think it's anything outstanding.

another way. Yes. But Melanie is still the one with a cast-iron hold on my heart :-)

"What do you think about the blonde look?"
Depends which blonde look we're talking about! I think she looked great with her hair
short (like at the Astoria), and now she's let it grow out a bit it looks pretty good
as well. The intermediate period was well dodgy though (did I hear someone say "mullet"?),
and as for those extensions in the I Turn To You vid... I loved her long dark hair, but
long blonde hair? Not to my taste at all.

Originally, there were a few dodgy hairdo's that I thought weren't all that nice. And
that gold tooth wasn't something I'd have suggested. But the biggest thing I don't like
is her apparent intent to cover a large portion of her body in tattoos.
Don't misunderstand me, I don't hate tattoos, I just don't like large quantities of them
- if you've got too many, then none of them stand out and they all end up looking messy.
So when she just had the Celtic chain and oriental characters, I was happy. Then she got
the cross, which took me a long time to stop disliking. Then, of course, came the Angel,
which I don't like at all. And after that there was the lotus flower one on her back.
Sure, it looks nice, but does that mean it'd look good if she covered her entire body with
tattoos that were individually as attractive as this one? Err, no. So no matter how nice
each individual tattoo is, the overall effect of having so many isn't pleasant. Having
said that, I do like the chinese dragon on her leg... but no matter how nice that is, or
how nice any future tattoos may be, it doesn't make the others any more appealing.

Well, I don't love it. But I don't hate it. Yes, I'd call it a mistake, but it's not
a bad one, and I don't mind seeing it glint and gleam when she smiles (though that's
perhaps because when she smiles, it's like a bolt of energy going straight into my
heart... ahem ;-) And at least it's just the one tooth she's had done - if she had a
mouthful of gold... well, let's not even think about that scenario.

I'm just a fan, like everyone else. I have no more right to criticise her actions than
anyone else. But just as importantly, I have NO LESS right to do so... If you personally
think that Melanie is a faultless goddess and nothing she does is wrong, then so be it, that's
your decision (however flawed it may be) to make. I prefer to think of her as a normal human
being, with normal human characteristics - one of which is the ability to make errors of
judgment. And in my opinion the tooth was a small error, and the Angel and phoenix tattoos
have been fairly large ones.
Don't misunderstand me, I honestly do love her. But that doesn't mean I have to accept
everything she does or says without question. That would be worship, idolising, or whatever
else you care to call it - but it wouldn't be love.
